(Summer Mountain)Ura-Ginza traverse route

Arbentoroth and night view of last night

The time is just after seven in the evening.
The sun is setting. Mount Washiba is dyed by the Arbentoroth.

Mount Yari is stained with arbentroot.

The time shifts and it is midnight.
I slip out of the tent.

It is the beautiful season of the Milky Way.

Moount Yari and starry skies.

Last day. Ptarmigans family

It is the morning of the third day.
It is rather hot. A high of 40 degrees is forecast for the day at the foot of the mountain.

I was fatigued and completely overslept in the morning.
This is the day to descend.
First, I set my sights on the Sugoroku Hut.

There are three routes to the Sugoroku Hut: (1) the Ridge Route, (2) the Middle Route, and (3) the Shortcut Route. If you have enough strength and time, you should choose route (1). The gentle slopes of Mount Sugoroku will welcome you.

I, on the other hand, chose (3).
Because I was tired and overslept….
The trip to Sugoroku Hut takes 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Mount Yari is seeing me off.
It was a great traverse with Mount Yari by my side throughout.

Hmm? What is that thing buzzing at the bottom of the screen…?
It is a parent and child of a thunderbird.

This is a video of a parent and child thunderbird.
They are very cute when they play with each other.

Shortcut route.
There are traverses of lingering snow in places on this route.
If you are unsure, you can put on light crampons and remove the caps from your stock.
If you are accustomed to walking on snow, you can use crampon feet.

I also brought light crampons just in case, but didn’t end up using them.

I caught sight of the Sugoroku Hut.

At the tent site of Sugoroku Hut.
The colorful tents, Sugoroku Pond, and greenery are very beautiful.

From here, I will head downhill to the Shin Hotaka Hot Springs.
The journey takes 5.5 hours.

.

Ohanaudo?

At the Yumi-Ori branch.

I will take a short break at Kagamidaira Hut.
There you can have a light meal.
I had ramen noodles.

.

At the Chichibusawa outcrop.
I refill my water and wash my face.
It is scorching hot as we descend in elevation. The cold water saves me.

I will reach the descent in a few hours. Three days of fun are about to pass. It is time to say goodbye to the mountain.

I arrived at Shin Hotaka HOT SPRING.

Nakazaki Sanso Okuhida hot spring, I will take a day trip to the hot spring. Nakazaki Sanso Okuhida hot spring is a wonderful hot spring where the hot spring water is free-flowing and the water is dancing in the air.

After this, we will take a bus to the Matsumoto Bus Terminal (Matsumoto Station) and take the JR Limited Express back to Tokyo.

Thanks for the great mountain trip, Uraginza.

That’s all for this article.
